Our rain screen products: Driwall™, Home Slicker® 10, and Sure Cavity™ allow you to meet the new rain screen/capillary break requirement faster and more affordably than the old furring strip method while providing better protection than furring strips or dimpled products (which do not breathe very well). Our products enhance the drying capability of a wall system and are designed to last and protect buildings beyond the life of these structures so you can rest assured your work is done right the first time.
Our weather resistive barrier/building wraps, Typar® Housewrap™ and Typar® Metrowrap™ are highly recommended for use with our rain screen products due to their industry leading water hold-out, tear strength, and proper balance of vapour permeance — allowing our buildings to breathe. The product is also faster and less expensive to install than building paper while vastly outperforming the characteristics of paper. Typar® Housewrap™ exceeds the properties of the leading commercial-grade building wrap at a much reduced cost, while Metrowrap™ offers additional tear strength, water holdout, and U.V. protection.
We also carry Benjamin Obdyke's line of ridge ventilation & cedar roofing products and Typar® Roofwrap™—systems which also contribute to the drying of the building envelope.
