PowerHouse Building Solutions’ President, Ross Power, represents a third-generation in the building supply industry in British Columbia. His late father Myles Power owned and operated “MJ Power Building Supplies” until it’s sale in 2009. Ross’ uncles also had wholesale and manufacturing lumber businesses. Steve Power started PowerWood (now majority owned by his son, Jake) and was also a former founding partner of PowerHouse. Ross’ Uncle Pat Power Jr. owned Pat Power Forest Products while Ross’ Uncle Martin Power owned Mid Valley Lumber Specialties. Both companies were recently sold. Other Uncles Bernie and Emmett are involved in the lumber industry as well. Responsible for much of the family success in the building supply industry goes to Ross’ grandfather, Patrick Power Sr. who owned and operated “Pat Power Lumber Building Supplies” with a location shown below in Coquitlam on Lougheed Highway. Grandpa Pat started his yard in 1954 until it’s sale in 1971.
